Aira＇s COSPLAY - Anya Alstreim (2010/10/13)

Aira is cosplaying as Anya Alstreim from Code Geass. Anya Alstreim (アーニャ・アールストレイム Ā'nya Ārusutoreimu) is the Knight of Six, a girl of few expressions and lacking in common sense. She pilots the heavy assault Knightmare Frame, Mordred, which she turns to even in situations in which it is not very appropriate, as seen in episode 12 of the second season when she uses it to chase Lelouch through Ashford Academy for the sake of capturing Lelouch’s hat so she can gain extra club budgets (though she forgets that she would have to be a couple with Lelouch if she got his hat); she consequently sends the military into a panic with her unexpected "sortie." Anya appears uninterested in the world around her, and appears to have little motivation where anything other than combat is concerned. She holds the distinction of being the youngest individual ever appointed to the Knights of the Round at the age of 15, and she shares a friendship with the similarly young Suzaku and Gino. Suzaku's cat Arthur also takes a liking to her.
Seeking to be remembered, Anya regularly uses her camera phone to update her blog. She does this because she doesn't trust her own memories, as she has a nine year old diary which she does not remember writing, as well as other diary and blog entries that do not match up with her memories. The reason behind Anya's inconsistent memories is that as an apprentice for proper etiquette at the Aries Palace, she unwittingly became the sole witness of Marianne's murder by V.V., the former using her Geass to conceal her consciousness within Anya and the Emperor later using his own to alter Anya's memories and conceal the truth.
In the novels, set in the year between the first and second seasons, Anya serves as Nunnally's knight. She demonstrates an unusual familiarity with the deceased Empress Marianne Vi Britannia, as she is able to find her way through Marianne's home despite it having been sealed off after her assassination. She cries when piloting the Ganymede-based Europa.
Anya appears in the first episode of the second season alongside Suzaku and Gino. She is subsequently sent to Area 11 along with Suzaku and Gino. When the Black Knights attempt to kidnap Nunnally vi Britannia as she is being transported to Area 11, Anya joins the battle to protect her. At one point, Anya suspects that Lelouch is a former Britannian prince, having found a picture of him as a child in her blog, and she once sees both him and his double in the same place. During a battle in the Chinese Federation with C.C. and again during the second battle of Tokyo against Lelouch, Anya has unexplained flashes of memory, one of which shows Lelouch and Nunnally playing happily as children. It is revealed that these occurrences are being caused by Marianne, who had used her Geass ability to remain alive with her mind. Marianne eventually takes over Anya's body as a means to reach Charles before discarding her to enter the Sword of Akasha. Anya wakes up in a confused state in the middle of the activation of Ragnarok.
Anya joins up with Schneizel following this, though Kanon expresses concern about how reliable she is. She faces off against Jeremiah Gottwald and manages to destroy the outer body of the Sutherland Sieg. However, Jeremiah uses the Sutherland stored inside in a kamikaze attack. As he gloats about how she should remember the name of the man who defeated her, she states that she has no memories. He realizes that she is under the influence of Geass and uses his Geass Canceler to restore her memories. She later becomes one of the rebels who are taken to public execution by Lelouch. In the epilogue, she and Jeremiah are seen tending to an orange farm together, and she is among the many characters who attend Villetta and Ohgi's wedding. Anya and Gino are the only Knights of the Round confirmed to have survived through the series (though Suzaku also survives, he only does so under a new identity).

It is hinted that they are connected to Maria in many different ways: Maria owns a set of ceramic musician rabbit toys said to wear uniforms resembling theirs; they bear a cross-shaped crest on their left arms, which resembles the last character in Maria's name, "a" ; and they are highly protective of Maria when she is around and willing to carry out her orders, such as during the Tea Party of Banquet of the Golden Witch. The only known witches and sorcerers who have been able to summon the Siestas are Eva-Beatrice, Goldsmith, and Erika Furudo. Beatrice can also summon them, but she has only done so in the Beatrice's White Day TIPS. Their true master is referred to as Pendragon, or the "Dragon King", who is only mentioned by name.
